About RISE

The RISE Alternative Education Program provides a supportive learning environment for Fredericksburg City Public Schools students who benefit from an alternative educational setting. Through individualized instruction, goal-setting, and comprehensive support services, RISE helps students get back on track academically while developing the skills they need to succeed. RISE serves students from Walker-Grant Middle School and James Monroe High School who have been placed through the Division Discipline Committee or who need an alternative learning environment due to behavioral, academic, or social-emotional concerns.
